This Privacy Statement applies to all persons of whom Datema processes personal data, except for persons employed by Datema.

This Privacy Statement applies to:

  • Prospects with whom Datema made contact or intends to make contact
  • Visitors to Datema's website
  • Recipients of newsletters and commercial e-mails from Datema
  • All other persons who contact Datema or of whom Datema processes personal data.

This Privacy Statement does not apply to alliance partners, employees, temps, contract staff, student-trainees, or job applicants.

Which personal data do we process?
We process the personal data that you have provided to us, personal data generated during your visit to our website or by reading newsletters and personal data we derived from other sources, such as business Social Media platforms.

Personal data provided by you

  • Contact details provided during introductory discussions, at events, seminars etc. as noted on business cards

Our website contains hyperlinks to websites of other parties and social media buttons. We are not responsible for the content of those websites or the services of the relevant social media platforms. Datema is equally not responsible for the privacy policy and the use of cookies on those websites and social media platforms.

What do we use your personal data for?
We use your personal data for various purposes. We would like to list them for you:

  • To implement an agreement in which you have contracted us to provide our products or services.

If you start a business transaction, you will always be asked for your contact details. Other personal data may also be required for business transactions, such as an e-mail address for example.

  • To maintain contact with you.

Your contact details will be kept in our client system and in our customer portal www.datemadirect.nl and can be used for sending newsletters, updates, invitations to events and/or seminars and/or customer satisfaction surveys and for sending (safety critical) information, products and services you requested from us.

  • To improve our product and services information and to implement targeted marketing actions.

We believe it is important to approach you with information that is relevant to you. To enable this we combine and analyse the personal data we have available. On that basis we determine which information and channels are relevant and which times are most suitable for providing information and/or making contact. For marketing actions we do not process special personal data or confidential information.

We analyse the following data:

Interaction data: Personal data obtained from contact between Datema and you, about your use of our website or supporting applications for example. This also applies to offline interactions, such as how often there is contact between Datema and you.

Behavioural data: Information obtained from tracking cookies is only collected and used with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. See also our cookie statement.

  • To improve and secure our website www.datema.nl.
  • To produce users statistics.

The users statistics for our website enable us to obtain an idea of the number of visitors, the duration of the visit, the parts of the website that are viewed and click behaviour. This concerns generic reports without information about individual people. The information that is obtained is used to improve the website.

  • Access control and business security.

If you visit our office, your presence is noted anonymously on the attendance board. We do this to know who is in the building in the event of an emergency and to ensure that unauthorised persons do not obtain access to our offices.

Legal grounds for processing
We process personal data on the basis of the following legal ground:

  • Necessary to implement an agreement.

A data controller may only process personal data when this can be based on one of the legal grounds listed in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Processors
We may engage service providers (processors) for processing your personal data and they only process personal data on our instructions. We conclude a processing agreement with those processors that complies with the requirements imposed by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Share personal data with third parties
To implement an agreement it may be required to share your personal data with third parties. Your personal data are not shared with third parties for commercial purposes bar one exception. Sometimes we organise a joint activity, such as an event or a seminar, with another organisation. In that case we solely exchange the required contact details.

Passing on data outside the European Economic Area (EEA)
Sometimes it may be necessary to pass on you personal data to parties located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). On the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), personal data may only be passed on to parties outside the EEA if a suitable level of personal data protection is safeguarded or if a specific derogation applies. We may pass on personal data to a party outside the EEA if this is required to implement the agreement.

Everyone may exercise certain statutory rights in respect of their personal data. For example you have a right of inspection, rectification and erasure of personal data.
