In the event of an accident where substances have entered the eye, it is extremely important to start rinsing the eye within seconds. The longer the delay, the greater the potential damage to the eye. This convenient 235 ml Cederroth eye wash contains a buffered solution for thoroughly rinsing the eye. The bottle can be placed in a belt pouch, making it an ideal pocket-sized model for use in a holster.

The eye wash bottle contains a sterile, buffered saline solution for single use. The fact that the contents of the eye wash bottle are “buffered” means that the solution has a neutralising effect on alkalis and acids. The neutralising effect is strongest on alkalis. A buffered solution is more effective than a non-buffered solution, as a non-buffered solution only rinses away acids and alkalis. As a result, more liquid is required and rinsing must continue for longer.

This pocket-sized Cederroth eye wash has an eye cup on top of the bottle. The eye cup keeps the eye open, allowing the solution to rinse the eye effectively. Only after this does the liquid — together with the now heavily diluted alkalis and acids — flow away from the eye through an opening. The eye cup also helps prevent unnecessary waste of the contents of the eye wash bottle.
