The Fibrelight Emergency ladder is made of carbon fibre rods, which are enclosed in flanged, tubular webbing. These webbed tubes are sewn into the material at 90 degrees weaved between a double thick pocket of secondary webbing — increasing the ladder's structural integrity, whilst also fully supporting the rod with the vertical members of the ladder.This emergency ladder has been tested under the ISO 799 strength test, where rungs have been loaded to over 900kgs and having sustaining the load for one minute without failure.
